“Good Fishing in the Adirondacks” has just been released in an overhauled third edition. Using information from local guides, outfitters, outdoor writers and Trout Unlimited members from each section of northern New York, the book has lots of maps, photos and fishing tips. It is published by Countryman Press in Woodstock, Vt.
Look for a section of the book written by a former president of TU’s Lake Champlain Chapter, John Spissinger. He writes about the “Mighty Saranac.” Adirondack legend Francis Betters penned a chapter on the “legendary Ausable” before his death.
Sounds like a must-have book if you fish in northern New York.
