“Using science to guide restoration” what a great idea. Removing non-native invasive trout from a native stream, another great idea. All parties involved in the Cherry Creek project should be commended for actually making TU’s mission of restoring and protecting native fish a reality.
Now if we could just stop TU from introducing non-native trout into native trout streams, as is done by West Virginia Council and Chapters in native brook trout watersheds , we really might have a “model for the nation “

I grew up in Atlanta watching Turner turn WTBS and the Braves into a national outlet. I can remember his spoiled brat image with America’s Cup on Captain’s Courageous. I am surprised with the fact that he built his billions in the Atlanta area yet builds his conservation of Trout habitat out west. The Southeast is also in need of Conservation efforts of Trout habitat. I applaud his efforts, but the old phrase, “dance with them that brung ya,” applies here also.
Did Hanoi Jane cause you to forget your roots?

To whom it may concern,
Please let my membership laps and quit continuing to try and contact me. Your ten page article on “Ted and Trout” is the reason for the foul attitude for your organization. Ted Turner recieves Millions of dollars in farm subsidies due to the fact that he is such a massive land owner (http://www.seattlepi.com/national/article/Wealthy-harvest-bulk-of-farm-aid-1065286.php). That means my money is being funneled to a billionaire media mogul to raise pet fish on his property that I am paying him to have that I can never seen, fish or enjoy in any capacity. I understand that the reason for your organization is “Conserving, protecting and restoring North Americas coldwater fisheries and their watersheds” , but I beleive there are principles more important than the state mission statement of your, and my former, organization.
Disappointed,
Travis Scott
